Absalom Crouch died doing a task he hated, working for a cause he barely understood, and with more money stashed away than he knew what to do with...

A part-time petty thief and burgler with a weakness for apparently lost property and looting, inducted into the Salem Guarde for the crime of 'wall- climbing', he eventually found himself assigned to Gorden DeMourney's personal retinue, an occurence that rather shocked him!

His promotion to Guarde-Sergeant lasted less than five months when he found himself fighting on the front line against the minions of Court of the Five Thunders.

Unfortunately he became dazed and confused in the heat of battle with the Jade Emperor's undead forces and was dragged down and mercilessly beaten to death, with his own great-axe, by zombies.

He remained a pessamistic opportunist until the last.

The final resting place of the huge ammount of Faerie gold he looted from fallen Crom-Cruath warriors remains unkown...
