To add an image to an existing gallery, simply make sure it has the correct tag. See Tagging. The tag that any gallery is based upon is given in the box marked "Filter images by query:" when you are viewing the gallery.

You can add images to multiple galleries by giving them multiple tags, separated by spaces. See Tagging.
