The Ashipu

Although being virtually the opposite of Magi, these two groups of spell casters are often on good terms. The Ashipu ward off or banish demons and Djinn. Often employed to guard caravans and oases they specialize in warding of powerful independent Djinn such as Lilith.

The Mutawah are less suspicious of the Ashipu and have on occasion employed their services. It is rumoured that some of the Mutawah are practicing Ashipu. The sources of these rumours often disappear.
