The Pherosi have their elemental power removed by Athlon, aided by Compo, Callam (present in spirit through Finnlay), Belkor and Dr Goodfellow.

The newly released elements on Faerie become very angry and want revenge.

Compo renounces Hades and makes a pact with the Morrigan.

The Child of Light is discovered, having been looked after (and corrupted by) the Dark Monarchs. He is recovered via a series of duels with the Monarchs, during which Compo dies, but is later restored by the Morrigan so he can rub Hades nose in the humiliation of his defection.
