Talihina is gifted by the Spirits with a variety of medical and healing skills, and uses them distressingly frequently. She can be somewhat insular and gets particularly agitated on the subject of foreign ritual magic. No matter how heated her arguments with her friends may get, however, she would lay down her life for them in a heartbeat. She was lamed in the fight against the Dark during which several of her friends died, and now seems perhaps somewhat older than her years.

She is Joined with Kestrel, a Spirit connected with healing and clear vision. Her characteristic white facepaint represents the wings of this bird of prey, and now includes a small red and yellow flame in the centre of the forehead.

Talihina was married to Taren until the year after the rejoining of the Shards, when they divorced with the agreement of Rabbit, Spirit of marriage and fertility. Some while after this Taren disappeared into the forests and has not yet returned. Talihina feels very strongly that the tribe must be perpetuated, and therefore took steps to have children; a son by Fetchlock, aged 8 in 10AU and named Nahele, and six-year-old twins by Shale, a boy named Gustavus and a girl named Margaret. Tavi and Aret are names the Kul-Tha find easier to pronounce...

Talihina is the cousin of Kiona. Yatavo was once her apprentice, but she is now a healer in her own right.
